Wolf TRUTH or Pig CONSPIRACY

Wolf TRUTH or Pig CONSPIRACY

Wolfanian News.

Two days ago we all were surprised at the verdict given to one of the citizens by pig officials at the Central Pig Court. Alexander T. Wolf was found guilty for fiercely devouring two overweight Pigs and supposedly trying to eat the third. Which have been causing problem to our entire wolf neighborhood by building their houses not only against requests of four wolf families but also building them to close to our wolf communing constantly tempting our natural instincts. The houses themselves were poorly constructed and only one of the houses was suitable for living, two other houses were made out of materials that barely stood together and were in need of maintenance.

Our unfortunate neighbor Alexander Wolf was extremely polite neighbor in our community and has friends and connection to animals such as cows and horses that constantly asked him to perform duties that Mr. Wolf was perfect at, which was taking care of rodents such as bunnies, rabbits. Even though all of us wolfs know what our diet consists of other animals such as sheep’s and pigs, Alexander was an exception, he was an animal lover and wouldn’t hurt a thing unless his survival depended on it and besides his job provided him both with money and groceries. But what is horrible about Alexander is that his intentions and reason he went to houses of pigs was simple and for a great cause- he needed some sugar for his grandma’s cake.

Judge D. Pig (presumably the D in the judges name stands for Dirty or Deceitful) had no pity on Alexander and have sentenced him for 15 years in jail and 2 years of PCS ( Pig Community Service) for the crimes he has committed against our “beloved” Pig community. Even though if it was pig-pig incident the penalty would be death, the verdict was harsh even by FLC (Forest Law Committee) laws. At the moment Alexander is under constant surveillance at the Pig Skin Penitentiary.

Luckily we were allowed to enter the penitentiary thanks to one of the Alexander’s costumers “MR.COW” who has influence in pig community which asked to keep his/her name secret which we will not release until further notice. As we were there we noticed the condition of the cell Alexander was kept in, we can describe it only with one word- DIRTY. Alexander was kind enough to tell us about the truth of that nightmarish day.

As he was telling the details I had a tear fall on my furry face.
It was seemingly a cloudy but worm day, that I had decided to make something special for my grandma’s birthday; a typical present wouldn’t cut the cake this time so I decided to make a Cake. As I prepared my kitchen for the cake making activities I had a call from one of my good friends-Larry Horseshoe he had some rodent problem, so I decided I had time for the job. Job was easy but Larry had a some kind of new cologne and I started to sneeze on the way back home but it eventually stopped. I came back home and continued, but then I found out I did not have sugar for the cake. You know it would have been easier to go to the store but I heard we had some new neighbors move into our neighborhood, so I decided to greet them and ask for sugar at the same time. I walked and walked and finally got to one of the houses, it looked awkward all in straws and yellow but my grandma always told me “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”. As I was ready to knock on the door, I suddenly smelled my shirt and sneezed, apparently some of the cologne got onto my shirt, as I sneezed the house crashed. The dust settled and I saw something sticking out of the pile, as I searched through it I found a little piglet sticking out, lying there and not moving at all. As I turned it on its back I saw that the little pig choked on popcorn it was eating when the house came down. Naturally, well for me anyhow, I didn’t think of eating the pig but then the temptations, growling of my stomach and just the thought of leaving food to spoil I eat the piglet. Of course I double checked that the pig was dead before I ate it. I am not a criminal and even though I thought of taking sugar from the ruins of pigs house, all the sugar was thrown to the ground and was useless.

Of course as a neighbor I felt bad that pig died but in a sense he did well to me by offering himself (even though he was dead) as a meal to me. Looking around I found a picture of him and his brothers they all seemed nice and I decided that his brother will be nice and I went to his brother’s house. As I closed in I wasn’t surprised to see that the house wasn’t pretty or well built but not judging by what it looks like I rang the bell of the house. No one answered my call so I called out “Mr. Pig, Mr. Pig, are you in” as I heard the answer I realized that the pig wasn’t to nice, he answered “Go away wolf. You can’t come in. I’m shaving the hairs on my chinny chin chin”. I was upset that my new neighbor wasn’t nice and that I lost opportunity to get a cup of sugar, but then all of the sudden I started to sneeze. I didn’t know what it was this time the cologne wore off but I still sneezed and as I did the stick house crumbled. You know its not enough to ruin one house I had to ruin another, I felt really bad once again so I started looking for the nasty pig to check if he was alive. As I started to go through the rubble I found a horrible sight, the pigs throat was cut and the poor thing was gasping for air, as I started to look for something to stop the bleeding the pig died and I could not save him in time once again. I was tempted and tempted to eat the pig and alas I budged and ate little pig. Once again there was no sugar for my cake.

As I got to know my two neighbors in a way I did not expected, I felt grief more and more with each step I took, but I finally got to the third house. “Finally a beautiful brick house with a porch and a chimney a little garden and beautiful hard wood and iron door” I thought to myself. As I knocked on the door the Pig did not answer me in a nice tone but instead started to be rude and mean, even for a wolf it is a biggest insult. You know if some one doesn’t want you there- don’t be there, so I was about to turn around and sneezed by mistake and then from no-were the pig actually opened the door and came out. So, we started to talk and I explained him everything what happened to his brothers. He believed me and told me that he warned his brothers about the construction of their homes but they didn’t listen and he said it served them well. I was quite for a moment listening to him explaining all that what I already knew and talking to me about the neighborhood. Finally he stopped and I asked him for a cup of sugar and once again apologized to him about his brothers. As he went back in the house he stopped for a moment and smiled at me. I thought that he was a good neighbor and understood me well, I waited about seven minutes and then I heard sirens coming. Pig Police, Pig Reporters, Pig Fireman and Ambulance all came to the scene; I was quickly cuffed and arrested. I think that the third pig has called the police, even though it was never proved I think that the third pig had insurance claims on all of his brothers’ possessions as houses and their lives, but that is just my speculation. So, now I will serve my 15 years in prison and unfortunately I could not attend my grandma’s birthday but I did make my last phone call to her and wished her the best.”

Alexander is definitely is one of our best citizens and should not have been jailed for things he has done and the circumstances that were given to him. Currently our Wolf officials are trying to mild out or terminate Mr. Wolf’s sentence and negotiate with Pig officials but we did not have any information on that yet and we will be informing you about it in future issue. As for dear Grandmother of Mr. Wolf we had finished the cake that was originally destined for her by her beloved grandson. She was pleased to receive it and hopes her favorite grandson will join her soon.

Hi Nataliya, I thought your story was very well-written and really captured my attention. It had a lot of details and answered all the lingering questions such as what happened on the Grandmother's birthday and how the cologne was the cause of the sneezes. Your article seemed very authentic because of all the titles, terminologies and format you used. You came up with really great names such as Wolfanian News, Judge D (dirty/deceitful) Pig, PCS, FLC, etc. Your title was also very eye-catching. Lastly, I liked how you used the concept of having “inside sources” like Mr. Cow. It really brought out the reporter aspect of your article.
However, there was one thing in your article that I didn’t quite understand. You mentioned Alexander Wolf received a harsh sentence of 15 years in jail as a wolf and if it had been a pig, the punishment would be the death penalty. Wouldn’t the death penalty be a harsher punishment? Also, if the judge was a pig, why would he sentence a fellow pig to death and not do the same for a wolf?

Yes you have misunderstood what I was trying to say by the punishment received by Alexander Wolf. If a pig would kill a pig what reason would there be to kill? A pig is not a carnivore and thus does not eat meet and has absolutely no Excuse for killing a fellow pig. But a wolf is a CARNIVORE he does really have a viable reason for killing and eating a pig such as pig is a pray and wolf is a predator. Even though in my story pigs and wolfs do have separate communities and do have terms of peace in some sort there are still primitive instincts that play role in the lives of forest dwellers so punishment was not death but imprisonment and laws of the pig community would not tolerate pig to pig homicide and thus a killer pig would receive death senesce or life in prison.

Oh, thank you for explaining it to me. I understand it much better now. So basically for the same crime, a wolf is treated much more leniently by both communities because of his natural instincts.
