Freedom vs. Safety

Reporter: Good morning, everyone! Welcome to Eyewitness news at Foxes Five. This is Connie outside of the Wild Wild Central County courthouse. I am reporting the large campaign outside of the courthouse against the murder of two little pigs by Mr. Wolf. No doubt that this homicide draws the animal community’s attention, but it seems that people have different reactions to the future legislative regulation. Here is one of the campaign leaders Piggy. Hello Piggy, how are you today?
Piggy: I am fine, thanks.
Reporter: Good. So please tell us what is this campaign about?
Piggy: We are here to notify the public: please come together to solve this problem. This kind of tragedy is NOT just pigs alone to suffer. Everyone in the Wild Wild Central County may get killed tomorrow. As long as the gun free law exists, there is no peace for EVERYONE!
Reporter: Mr. Piggy, I know that you and your colleagues are dedicating large campaigns like this for many years. You wrote letters to the congress; met with many senators; got signatures from the public, and held blogs to let the public be aware of this problem. However, most of the time this project ended before it went to the table. Lucky ones are discussed, but they go over and over with no result. How do you expect this time? Do you think the law makers will take these two little pigs’ tragedy into account?
Piggy: You are definitely right. But we will never give up fighting.
(He shows both aims up. The crowd cheers on his back.)
Reporter (turns to the camera): Now comes the defendant Mr. Wolf. Hi, Mr. Wolf, how do you feel today?
Wolf: Very good. I am so glad to see many people back on me. I am here to thank so many supports from all over the world. I just want to repeat one important thing. It comes to the wolf nature to eat ham. As you know, our great, great, great parents come to this land for freedom. So do the pigs. We all get together here for our dreams. However, they acquire our land and occupy our market. And as you can see, they don’t have any birth control but fast growing population. Let’s be clear, if the pigs don’t like our freedom, they should go back to where they live. It is insane to put a handcraft to wolves’ freedom and unlimited pigs’ greed.
Reporter: Thank you Mr. Wolf. I think is time for you to go to the courtroom now.
Reporter (to the camera): it is true that we received many responds on the blog at our Foxes website. Many people wrote to us that Mr. Wolf should be excused. Some people believe the violence caused by Mr. Wolf’s mental problem and has nothing do with weapon. Again this is Connie in Eyewitness news at Foxes 5. I will keep you update after the commercial. Stay turn.

Interesting approach Aiyu - it reminds me quite a bit of Orwell's Animal Farm - have you read this novel?

Very interesting post! I did not think of the idea of campaings! very smart... That was a great way to emphasize a point of view. It is very common to see campaings in today's world from people that want to express themselves. It is a goos way to be heard. It was very smart of you to evolve your story around that. Nice job!
