Thursday, February 25, 2010 – The now infamous Wolf of the Three Little Pigs has finally broken his silence today at a congressional hearing on Capitol Hill. Congressional members were shocked and stunned as they heard the Wolf’s unbelievable story.
The Wolf appeared before members of Congress in an attempt to clear his name and educate Americans on a horrible disease which he has been inflicted with since childhood. Below is his statement to Congress:
“Esteemed members of Congress, I come before you today a broken wolf; a wolf of great pain and misfortune, a wolf devoid of any love or friendship from others. Some would say that is exactly what I deserve given my behavior. But I implore you to forget your misconceptions of me for just a few minutes, so that I may tell you of a rare, but serious, disease that I have the grave misfortune of suffering from.
One of the most rarely seen, and rarely heard of diseases in the world is Reverse-Asthmatic Psychosis, or RAP for short. It is a truly unique disease that combines a physical ailment with strong psychotic episodes. These episodes appear randomly, without any warning. Essentially, the person inflicted with this disease is prone to extreme bouts of inhalation and exhalation (also known as huffing and puffing), followed by uncontrollable urges to kill anyone that crosses their path.
Ladies and gentlemen, I do not try to hide the fact that I killed those pigs. I was under an extreme episode at the time, and lacked any control over myself at all. But I loved those pigs like family and I would never intentionally hurt them otherwise. I have been given a bad RAP and I must live with that for the rest of my life. Please, do not lock me up and throw away the key. I, along with many others, am in desperate need of help from the healthcare industry. Someone out there must be able to help us live normal lives, and only you have the power to see that it is done.”
As the Wolf concluded, many members of Congress were seen with tears in their eyes. One can only hope that this will mark the beginning of more education on Reverse-Asthmatic Psychosis, and possibly a cure to this horrible disease.

Your story was very cleaver. I would have never thought of something like the RAP disease. It is funny because your story reminds me of how many people specially now go to jail for committing a crime and their lawyers tried to help them out by diagnosing then with some kind of sickness. Like the mothers that kill their children, and then the lawyers said that they suffer from depression after giving birth to be able to get them out of jail. So I really like your story.
I like the idea of the wolf going in front of a Congressional panel. They seem to be common occurrences these days (ex. Toyota) so it's very timely. I also think it was imaginative giving him a disease with such an official sounding name! This post makes me think of politicians, athletes, and celebrities that do immoral things and get caught and in order to save face claim to have an addiction. All of a sudden they're in rehab (ex. Tiger Woods). Overall, this was clever and intelligent. I really enjoyed reading it.
Very well written. The story was enjoyable and entertaining. It was nice to see the Wolf in a softer roll. Of course he was begging for forgiveness based on his illness. I like the angle you took in terms of him blaming a situation rather than accepting the responsibility. The previous commentors did mention the lack of responsibility displayed. It really does touch on whether or not an individual will accept responsibility or simply play the blame game. He did it well
Your story is really true to life. It reminds me thinking about many ture cases today. I know that some muederers are out of control when they commit a crime. Probably they have a mental disease which make they do some crazy activities. However, after they return to normal, they will regret what they did.The ending seems like the judge feels pity for the wolf, but how can we judge a person with some unusual diseases, like the RAP you mentioned in the story; it's really tough.
I like the way you presented your story, being in front of congress. I felt as though it gave alot more steam and prestige behind what you were trying to express. I especially like the RAP, it was a very witty courtroom device and seems like a good idea to help equit the wolf. I enjoyed reading this and felt as though it kept em entertained throughout the story.
You have prowerful language. The store is very clean and interesting. Like Lris said that the bad guy alway get a way with some terrible excuse. For my point of view, i think the crimnal should paid for whatever he or she did, even they have mental disease. we all have to be responsible for ourself. I read a newspaper article that we do punish to animal if they attack people. The animal can never judge right or wrong same as people with mental disease.
